Banting's has been New Orleans' leading retail nursery for over fifty years. Our first location was established in 1960 in Bridge City, on the west bank of the Mississippi River, and in March 2014 we opened our second location in Lacombe, just north of Lake Ponchartrain. We are committed to offering both the north and south shores of the New Orleans area a wide variety of quality trees, shrubs, and bedding plants well-suited for our climate and growing zones.

Our team has deep first-hand knowledge of gardening in our area, and we’re always on top of developing trends in southern Louisiana gardens as well as current horticultural research.

Both of our locations have four acre sales yards, making us one of the largest retail nurseries in the south. Unlike discount chain stores, we're family-owned, and plants are our only business. Most our our plants are grown on premises, and our large lots allow us to provide a wide selection at low prices.
